The last 3 months…

Cool at the beach.

Path of destruction.

Great day at the beach.

Christian has an obsession with fire fighters and fire engines. It began with the kid’s show “Fireman Sam” and has branched out from there. One day, there was a house fire near by and he got to see fire engines and fire fighters in action.

It was his best day.

I think that’s where he got his love of  ladders too.

Andree got into the act with a fire engine cake.

And we got him a battery-powered fire engine ride-on.

Don’t forget the hat.

No one will be surprised if Christian grows up to be a fireman.

By the way, he can say “fire extinguisher”. He’s only two!

Cheeky monkey

Lazy rainy day with dad.

With the women in his life.

A rare day when he was enjoying his food.

Hey! Where’s the water?!

Happy days with granddad.

Although granddad makes him work hard ;)

Christian the builder.

This was first day of school childcare.

Another day, another toy to stand on.

You can’t turn your back on this kid!!!

Checking out the music (and the music unit is moving further and further away from the edge!)

Now, how do I get down from here?

Christian and Hailey

Jason, Carol and Hailey came over for dinner. We know it’s too early to match-make, but we can’t resist. They are so cute together – Christian is an archetypal boy and Hailey is what you’d expect from a girl. Even this early, it’s obvious. As Yoda would say – Strong the genetics is.

Hello. What’s your name?

High five!

Can we be friends?

She likes me. Look, I took she gave me her hair tie!

Hey, that’s my toy!

And another thing…

Wait, you’re not my mum.

A beautiful duet :)

The next night, we went to Chadstone shopping centre and I couldn’t resist buying this for Christian. His first set of wheels! (and half price too!)

I think he likes it.

Loves it :)

Revisiting childhood.

It’s amazing how memories come flooding back when you find your old toys. My dad found this lot and even cleaned them for me Christian. One of my earliest memories is playing with this Playmobil castle (and setting up Playmobil soldiers as guards around our house). There are some broken pieces and it’s missing most of the small bits, but I am surprised that most of it is still in good condition. They still make Playmobil sets, but it’s pricey. I’m not going to force Christian to re-live my childhood, but it would be great if he could get the same enjoyment out of my toys as I did.

Argh!!! Monster!!! No, it’s just Kat.
