Every week, he looks different. It’s amazing how much he changes.
And he’s cute too.

And he’s beginning to smile (no, it’s not gas this time).
Christian seems to have the grandparents wound around his little finger! The grandfathers were a little afraid of holding him at first and would just look at him while both grandmothers would fight over him. Last night, it took both grandmothers to change his nappy! Each grandparent has a special interaction with him as follows:
Gouel Grandma (Mémé)- sings and talks to him in French and gives him a great bath.
Thia Grandma – keeps screaming in his ear “I’m your Chinese grandma”…it’s hilarious actually.
Gouel Grandpa (Paqo)- is now the official burper.
Thia Grandpa- forever taking photos, and personal physican.
The long wait is over, we’d like you all to meet Christian Thia, the latest addition to our family. Christian was born on the 18th of October weighing 3.76 Kg and a height of 51.5 cm. That’s big especially for a half asian baby -lucky for me though he has a small head!
Christian is a great baby, he doesn’t have a loud cry (actually it’s quite a wimpy cry) and he only cries when he’s hungry. He looooooves his milk, check out the latest photos with his chubby cheeks. This year is the Chinese year of the Pig and he’s certainly living up to that! Christian makes a lot of sounds from both ends hence some of the following endearing nicknames:
Stink Bomb
Puffing Billy
Barney (from the Simpsons)… he can certainly burp like a pro!
Since birth Christian has amazed us with his strength. Even a few minutes after being born he lifted his head right off mummy’s chest and took a good look at the world. He continues to have a very strong neck and he is forever head-butting people carried. Being a mixed kid, Christian’s looks have already changed a lot in his short life. He came out looking very asian (and frankly like he had just come out of a boxing match) but now he looks mixed. Strangely, one minute, we’ll get a comment that he looks like mummy followed by a comment from someone else that he looks like daddy. What do you think?
